Got to take spike to the vets Tom

  just noticed now that one of her front teeth is longer than the other,so just phoned them and its at 10.30,really hope she is going to be ok and it's not going to be an ongoing problem

At least front teeth can be removed if they need to be, and Theo manages quite well without his

Thank you sparky,I've just dangled some food in front of her and held it up high and it looks quite bad,it looks like its splinted at the end,don't understand how her tooth is like that becouse she eats plenty of hay

Oh dear, poor Spike

I'm sending her loads of vibes that her vet trip went well

Right,so we have found the reason why her tooth has grown,her bottom tooth isn't there,so there isn't anything there to grind it down,he's clipped the tooth and said to go back when or if it grows longer,which iam sure it will as there isn't anything there to keep it down,he said he didn't want to check her back teeth as she is still eating which she is,she Hoovers the pellets up when I put them in the cage and also eats tons of hay and the vet only charged me £3.50 which I was really surprised about,he did say about removing the tooth but as a last resort as its so hard to make sure you get all the root out of the gums,so feel a lot better now,poor spike is sulking,iam trying to tempt her with a pellet

Thanks everyone and yes Jo,she has stopped sulking   it took about an hour,she went right in to the cage,through the tunnel and in to the second cage and laid on the concrete slabs,took an hour for her to come out and eat some grass and dandelions,I was a lot happier after that

any idea how the missing tooth disappeared ?

Sending tooth growing vibes for the missing tooth.  Was there even a stub of the lower tooth there?  Could the upper kept the lower from re-emerging by the constant chewing??

The vet seems to think she has banged her face against something and if she has,she must have done it with some force! Her top tooth is a little lose

No,they was nothing there,it was me who actually noticed the tooth missing first,and I hope not holly,we need the tooth to grow

We will have to pray that that little toothy appears. I am glad she is better though love.
