Hi everybody

Firstly, thanks for having this section on the forum.  It's great that the forum is supporting RWAF Hopper groups.  We're going to be putting information and an article in the next issue of Rabbiting On so if anybody is thinking of starting a new group and wants their contact details included in that article, please get in touch with me (hq@rabbitwelfare.co.uk or 0844 324 6090) this week so I can add you to the list that will be published with the article.

Unfortunately over the years it's been hard for anybody to co-ordinate the groups and they've dwindled, but we hope we can revive them so that bunny owners have a local network of like-minded people who can offer friendship, support, etc

Hi Ros,
Just the same here. How to start a hopper group. I have checked your list and it seems that there is none at present in my area of Gloucestershire but quite a few bunnies and owners in area Cirencester/Cheltenham.

I think you can contact Ros or Rae at hq@rabbitwelfare.co.uk to register your interest.

Also you can post in the forum area here and see if anyone comes along to register their interest.

Part of the reason for setting up this area of the forum was to provide a less scary way of people making initial contact with each other. Making a phone call or sending an initial email can be quite scary but responding to a forum post is far less so. Just because you initiate a thread does not mean your are responsible for running a hopper group.

Hi everybody

Really sorry I haven't had any notifications of replies to my post so hadn't been back.

If you want to start a group or join an existing one, please mail me at hq@rabbitwelfare.co.uk or else call our Helpline 0844 324 6090 where you'll get either Rae or me depending on which day you call.

We've actually got two groups going strong in New Zealand and it would be great to see more people getting involved with other rabbit owners locally in the UK. They can be great sources of support and advice, and of course a place to talk bunnies, which we all love to do

Hi Maysie! I must come visiting again if I can ever get away from this keyboard
