Leaking Hutch Empty Leaking Hutch

Post by fluffiebunnie Tue Sep 02, 2008 5:22 pm

It has been torrential rain here today for most of the day... got home at 3pm to find all Twinkle's vetbed wet and her hay tray soaked... the rain must of been driving into the hutch...

Then when I cleaned Pickle's hutch out, I noticed it has been leaking from the roof Sad not a lot (even with tarpauline over the roof) but enough to make it feel damp inside Sad

I cant wait to get his new hutch set up.. it is still in my hallway... they are coming to collect the shed on Thursday now so hopefully by the end of the weekend he may be in there. And not a day too soon with the summer now well and truly gone Sad

I have trouble with rain driving into my hutches too, it's got to the point where I have to have the tarps attached all year round just to make sure the poor bunsters stay dry.

Its about three years old and has been pulled about in fairness... it was modified to join to hutches together and then separated again when I split the bunnies... it is now falling to pieces.... due to being moved about so much....

I will have to get some clear plastic sheeting to have over the hutches if I think its gonna rain during the day....
