It's been a while since I have got some nice pictures of the bunnies so took some 2 days ago! Was meant to upload them that night but didn't get round to it. So here they are.

Pickle and Pixie  - they look so settled and I am so glad Pixie was able to come home to you, I know you must still miss Bella dreadfully but  Pixie really does look 'right' there with Pickle  

I see Pickle has quite pink-rimmed eyes and light fur like our Gizmo, do you ever get problems with him getting sunburn?

Flopsy has been doing really well recently since his metacam increase and since starting the Oxbow joint supplements. He has been on them about 3 weeks now he has two a day. John did say it can take up to 8 weeks to have an affect but he is being very bouncy and a lot more livelier already which I am so pleased about.  

Yes Pickle and Pixie have bonded so well, they lay side by side quite often which Bella could not do (She could not lay down most of the time because of her Spine injury and arthritic spine) it is nice for him to be able to do that with Pixie. However I think his and Bella's bond was more stable, Pixie randomly decides to mount Pickle's head on a weekly basis.

She just needs to accept she will NOT be 'top bun'    

Oh I really hadn't thought about him getting sunburnt   I feel terrible now. His eyes do seem to be a little red on sunnier days which might explain things. What kind of things do you suggest I could try/use to prevent this happening?

Don't feel bad, if it has not been quite obvious it probably hasn't really affected him.

Gizmo got it really bad in those couple of scorching hot days we had here in the north - see the last couple of pics on this thread - his eyes looked really sore although they didn't seem to bother him really, and his ears got a bit pink too.

We thought about suncream but Cindy grooms him all the time so would probably just lick it off  so we just tried to give him plenty of shade.

I asked about Pickle because I thought if anybody had found a solution, it would be you  but Gizmo has really fine hair on his head and it looks like Pickle's is a lot thicker so maybe he doesn't tend to burn so easily. (A lot of our other buns are predominantly white but didn't seem to get sunburn. Gizmo just has to be the odd bun out....)
