Bunny Ear Question Empty Bunny Ear Question

Post by gentl Fri Oct 11, 2013 2:01 am

I have a question about bunny ears. I've had lops and only one uppy ear bunny other than Rory. I never really paid too much attention to the range of motion of the uppy ears other than they could go front, side and almost completely backward. Often the ears would be in different directions so they could keep tuned in to us. Very Happy

Rory's ears do not go forward at all. Is this a lionhead thing? His ears are short, 2.5" to 3" and go to side and almost all the way to the back. They are a lot more pointy as well. I'll post pics as soon as Hubby emails them to me.

Lady Jane is a lionhead cross, and her ears don't go forward as much as The Boys' ears do (they're nethies).

Rosie is a Lionhead cross and she seems to have one ear up and one ear down most of the time and when she was a baby but just now and then when she hears the treats jar lid being lifted both ears are up , so I think she is suppose to be a lop lionhead...but not sure scratch

I've never had a lionhead so I wouldn't know, but I do find it funny when Domino shoots up his flopped ear, it happened if hes scared/irritated or thinks theres food! it's like a radar!

Bruce's go fairly far forward - he does his 'I am cute pose' where he opens his eyes wide, puts his ears forward and peers round corners at you.
