Buddies Bunny Rescue, nr Edinburgh is appealing for experienced rabbit owner homes for a very special group of bunnies. Buddies took in the Mum who had been caught by a wild male and the babies who were then 2-3 weeks old. Sometimes with a lot of handling semi-wild bunnies can behave no differently from our domesticated pets, but other times they appear more wild and even with a lot of socialisation will always remain like this. There are four 7 month old youngsters, 1 brother and 3 sisters, they have all been neutered, health checked and vaccinated. While it is apparent they do have wild bunny characteristics they behaved very well at the vets for their operations and are ok with gentle handling. The wild behaviours they still have are that they can be difficult to catch up and are very easily spooked.

Buddies has had no interest in these beauties - it is hard enough to rehome pairs/groups without them being semi-wild, so they'd love to find them someone who maybe has experience with similar rabbits or actually just has a lot of space and time and does not expect cuddly/lap buns.

They can be split into two pairs or remain as a quad. Buddies will happily organise a transport run if the right home is found further afield - they just want the best for the siblings.

The perfect home would be outdoors and very spacious; they would not be suitable for living indoors, with young children or other pets - unless their new owner was sympathetic to their specific needs.

Please email buddiesbunnies@hotmail.co.uk if you think you could offer any of these beauties the home they so deserve or hop over to their Facebook page for more pictures.
