Cracker - 10 month old SBT - Surrey

This is Cracker who is an approx 10 month old Staffordshire Bull Terrier looking for a home who arrived from a dog pound in Somerset.
He was a breeders pup who stayed with them until he was a young adult. He was then sold to a family who put him in their kitchen the first night and he damaged some of their flooring. For this he got a beating and the breeder would not take him back, so they called the police and told them that s stray dog had wandered into their kitchen. When the police arrived to seize him, they used a catch pole on him which frightened him (as you can see from the top pictures) and took him to the pound.
Cracker did not need such harsh treatment as he has got a superb nature. He is a happy go lucky boy, with a a beautiful if cheeky nature.
He loves to play, but would be best placed with a stocky friendly spayed female who can keep up with his antics and keep him entertained.
Smaller dogs tend to get bowled over by him - no malice intended, just sheer love of life!
He is too bouncy to live with small children or cats, but would thrive in a home with teenage children - they would have the same energy levels!
We are practicing leaving him for short periods of time on his own (so far he has managed an hour) which we are extending over time. He is learning very quickly, but his slight wobble with separation anxiety stems from insecurities stemming from the already explained situation he was thrown into.
He has not been destructive here but he does need a crate for security if left and he will use this as his 'den'.
Cracker has an excellent recall, although has a habit of coming back to you every couple of seconds just to double check you are still there and haven't run off an left him!

Cracker has been fully vaccinated, castrated (he had an undescended testicle but this was located and removed), microchipped, flea treated and wormed.

A homecheck will be done and a minimum adoption fee of £150 applies.

Cracker has now gone to a new home. He will be living with Poppy the lurcher who was adopted from us a little while ago. Good luck boy!
