Our Nethie Girls

Two weeks ago Mike drove to Cambridge after seeing an advert for a tiny nethie she was stood on an upturned filthy crate and the hutch behind her was filthy dirty and the owner wanted rid as she wanted the hutch. Seeing how filthy everything was we decided that the little nethie needed to get out of that situation and so Mike went for her. When he got there it was even worse than he imagined and he came home with all the nethies she wanted rid of, three girls one with a 10 week old baby.

None of them had ever been out of their filthy hutches apart from her moving them in to small guinea pig cages to sell them, they had no names and they were in a dark cold and damp old tatty stable with a damp dirty sheet as a top door on the stable.

All the nethies are doing well and learning to trust us , Ava sadly is not coping with the light as they have been kept in darkness and so we have to shade half the play pen up for her we are hoping in time she will get use to the light. They are all just starting to move about else they were just sat in a corner at first.

Aww how sad someone could keep them like that!

they have truly landed on their paws now tho! so glad you rescued them from god knows what fate.


Baby fay reminds me of Daisy, lets hope she isnt his apprentice

Oh my goodness, such awful people. How anyone can do that to a living creature is beyond me - it makes me sick!   

Thank you so much for rescuing these beautiful girls and giving them a second chance, Maysie. You and Mike do such wonderful things for the neediest bunnies

Lily is so tiny Cheryl she is ideal for wee Fudge and he is in an indoor cage next to her and they both seem very interested in each other so that will be great if we can bond them as they are going to look so cute together both being tiny   

Baby Fay is exactly like looking at Daisy when he was a baby. They are all beautiful!

I cannot begin to tell you how vile I think these people must be. Makes me so angry!!!

They were back street breeders Katie Mike wasn't sure until he got there and he said it was horrendous, she bred guinea pigs and dogs she wanted rid of the nethies as she had stopped breeding them and gone on to mini rex's , they were all in the dark in a cold, damp filthy stable and Mike said he saw rats. We are going to report them.

They are all stunning, I'm especially in love with Fay    Who could do such a thing to such beautiful little creatures?

Oh you will love them Sophia, Lily and Alice are getting braver every day and coming out of themselves but Ava is still very quiet but it could be because she has her baby but she is so nervous, she doesn't seem to like people much

They are absolutely gorgeous, I would so love a cuddle. How can anyone trret animals like this, in fact how can anyone look at any bunny and not melt?

Absolutely gorgeous and so glad you got to rescue them, it makes me so angry        when people keep buns like that, why o why get any if you are not willing to take care of them. Howe would they like it done to them- humans suck- well most humans, not the humans on here, these are lovely and caring, kind , loving bunny people, especially you 2. Thanks for saving these little gems from an awful home. I bet you feel like smashing the person/people in the face hard don’t you when you go and get them and see them in that state. I do not know if I could bite my tongue and not just flip at people like that.

I bet hun, you and Mike are great and I know you have to do that as you cannot go beating people up  or sayiing anything     but bet you picture it in your head don't you? I would and I am not a violent person either. But also I know in those situaions all you care about and want is to get those sweet buns out of there and away and can only think about that. So glad you rescued them. They have gone to such a fantatci home and couple.

You just have to be careful what you do or say at the time as you just want to get the bunnies out of a bad situation and if you go about it the wrong way you could end up with no bunnies and never get them out.
