Can I ask for vibes? Not a Bunny but a cat?

I'm not sure whether this is confirm with the policy of the side.
The Bunnies are doing fine.
It my Tom cat that causes concern.
He is a rescue cat that was attacked by a dog and brought to the shelter after the attack.
He is a big hunter, don't want to go into details as they may upset people. But he was a major part in the decision to get Bertie a hunbun.
Biggest pray so far was a fully grown partridge.
Approximately 9 years of age he developed kidney disease and is overweight. No I do not over feed him but if you are a good hunter-chances are.......
We have seen the vet yesterday as he is more lethargic, doesn't want to go out, only sleeping and eating. Straining at times when passing urine.
Vet wants him in next Thursday-my day off she would have liked it earlier to do GA and then x ray,bloods and urine sample.
He has been to the vet frequently with his condition and utterly hates it even got sweaty paws yesterday whilst on the table.
Saying he is a hunter he still cuddles up with Bertie. bubbles just scares the heck out of him and chases him away.
Feel that he might be more poorly and a little scared of the outcome.
Would we consider vibes for a cat???

Of course you can have vibes for Tom cat. Kidney disease in cats is awful. I lost both Moses at 16 with it and Bobbie at almost 21 had it too. Our latest cat Paddy is not fed any dry food at all as I now believe that that is a major cause of kidney disease. He is only fed on wet food that is very low in carbohydrates.

After reading around I now thaink that raw food is the way to go in feeding dogs/cats but having looked at raw food that can be bought for cats I went a little squeamish.

Just to explain:
Black Tom cat is called. Sir Lancelot (Lanci)I kept the name given by the shelter and torti girl 2 years old was named Morgaine (Moggi)
All of the pets are rescued and I sometimes wonder if it would be of help or hinder to know about their past.
Lanci was 5-6 years old when I adopted him and was classified as semi feral.
Due the last year I tried all sort of foods. But he is fussy eater and doesn't like raw food nor special cooked one unless he coughs it himself. I tried chicken,salmon, liver... Now called that spoiled??
Re started him on meta am until Thursday as he winces and reacts when touched on end of spine and flanks.

I hope he is okay and that he recovers, sorry he has liver disease, poor thing.

wow he sounds fussy like my brothers Husky, she is veyr much like that, she is murder to get to eat anything then when you think you have got it right she goes off it. She is not as bad as she used to be but she is still extremly fussy and she is not like other dogs at all with food.

Can I have vibes for Lanci please.
He just had his dinner and is gonna be starved and kept inside until the morning when he is due for the vet.
Plan is to get bloods  And a ruin sample ( via needle in bladder...)  And X-rays to find the course for his back pain  
As he gets very stressed at the vet we decided it is the most decent thing to give him GA and do it all in one go. I don't think he would agree and feel quite sorry for the boy and some how anxious about the result too.

Ok,
Only got him back this evening.
Vet says that he definetly shows signs of pain in back and or pelvic area.
X ray shows no suspected tumour  
Bloods are normal with no,signs of metabolic disturbance. Waiting for urine results.
However he has been on meta am on and off as vet didn't want to use it long term permanantly.
They gave him a stat dose of Tramadol and.....
What a changed cat.
He is awake and interested, purring which he hasn't done for month,
Though he looks strange with his wide pupils.
They want him to stay on the pain relief as there is no explanation of what causes it.
Guess we have to wait for the result of urine and of course see how the diet effects him
I just feel alittle helpless and sorry for him. Not having a diagnosis is weird.

I am glad he is pain free with his meds hun and I hope the urine results come back fine. Nice that he is purring again.

Try not to worry too much, I know it is easier said than done but he seems brighter with the sounds of it so that is good.

I'm glad the meds are helping him, and hope they find a proper explanation and effective treatment.
