Mimi is having a really bad moult, her fur is a state and I have been worried about her grooming herself and getting fur balls so I have been grooming her. The fur I have gotten from her is unbelievable. I was grooming her earlier (i was gently teasing out the clumps and using a damp cloth which was getting alot out) anyway, I as I was putting her back in her cage I noticed a small bald patch. At no point did she jump or anything so I dont think I hurt her but I feel so bad.
Has this happened to anyone else?

Thats good to know. She actually looks worse than she did. I did all on top of her back but didnt want to do too much at once so left her rear end. Now she has a blad patch, a fluffy dewlap and looks to have a huge bum with bit of fur sprouting out. She is still pretty though.

I have been pulling handfuls off of Twinkle daily for weeks now... and still more is there to pull!!!!

She doesnt mind it mostly, but think the sides tickle a bit as you pull... most of it gets taken away on the wind but sometimes my garden looks like a snow storm has hit it!!

Just put the hoover pole on Mimi so it sucks all her loose fur off Laughing

I had a Cashie come into rescue who ended up half bald during her moult, but then she hadn't been properly groomed previously.

Lexie often goes a bit 'thin' on top when she goes through her twice yearly heavy moult, I wouldn't worry as I doubt you hurt her....I literally have to pluck Lex and she dosn't seem to mind.

This is how Ryan deals with a moulting bunny!

I give him a once over with a comb every couple of days aswell. I've accidently made him bald around the eye before when the hair was loose... he looked really weird until the hair came through!! Laughing

I pull the loose patches of hair out, you can see which bits are ready to come out, have never seen a bald patch but it has been very thin before!

Laura, that video is so funny. Lola likes being hoovered too! (must be an ethnic bun thing) Mimi would C*** herself if I tried that. Laughing
