Blossom - young, female rex rabbit - SURREY Bl_zps195d69ab

Blossom
DOB - Oct 13

This is Blossom. A female rex rabbit who is looking for a home with a neutered male rabbit for company.

She has come to us because the previous owner thought she was buying a mini rex, but Blossom has turned out to be a standard rex. The previous owner felt she was too big for their flat, so has brought her into rescue.

Blossom - young, female rex rabbit - SURREY Bl2_zps39685493

Like most rabbits, Blossom isn't keen on being handled, but she is friendly and will come over to say hello.

She has been spayed, vaccinated and wormed.

We ask for a minimum donation of £40 for her.

Located in Old Coulsdon, Surrey.

Hi Anna,
Still trying to figure things out here.
As the bonding of the trio failed I'm looking into the option of getting Coffee a Hun bun.
How was he with the gIrls of his litter. Would Blossom blossom with us?
Would you consider helping with the bonding?
I could bring athe boy down and stay over so we can see how they get on?

Hi,

I wasn't there when he was in the litter, but I cannot see a reason why he couldn't pair with a spayed female. Is he all healed from the scrap?
Yes I could try to bond them here.

Hi Anna,
Yes he seem ok!
I'm not sure oF what to do?
He is very settled into e lounge and enjoyed company of hoomins and even the cats.
I will order a Wendy house 6x5 ft plus all the run round system I got but thought this is gonna be on a smaller range for three buns. Getting a forth one in I'm worried it is not enough?
I don't want to deprive him from having a bucks life with a girl but certainly don't want to take another bun on without knowing that they like each other and are able to bond.
He is utterly fighting both of the pair. This sinew as I already had managed to get him to be. With bubbles. When ever he sees another bun he goes frantic. Scratching and lugging even thorough the wires of the run. I guess that the whole lot was so painfully for him! And I'm sorry for that.
Yes I would bring him to a good rescue and have a last attempt. If it fails I consider to keep him indoors with "only" us for socialising and lots of treats and toys and...
He is good as gold in the sense of litter training- no failure at all!
Sorry love, I have been on night duty and not to bed yet. So if this doesn't make any sense please respond and ask!
Loves and nose rubs from us.

Would the Wendy house be just for him and his new friend, or for the other two as well?
He probably associates your two with negative memories as they have fought. He used to try and nose rub with his brother here through the bars, but each rabbit is different and perhaps your male didn't want to lose his girlfriend.
I think the best option would be to allow a rescue (either myself or another) to bond for you so you know its going to work.

Heap I completely agree regarding the bonding attempt.
The Wendy house would be for all of them that's my concern. For three it would be tight whether it takes four I'm not sure. It would be a sleeping quater and bad whether shelter mainly.
I have got the following pieces of run to be fixed on.
Two binky boxes 7x3 ft. Four pipe tunnels each 1.20 meters. Two mesh funnels each 1.20 meters and two spare boxes about 1 square meter.
I don't want to jam them.
But as I
Ife in rented accommodation I will have to get agreement of the landlord. They are friendly people and agreed to the Wendy house/garden shed.
I decided for the Wendy house as they seem more sturdy and can be pupose build. I'm looking to get one with a partition wall and two doors for access and cleaning. Each door will have a window for ventilation. The guy will charge me aroun £350.00 so I don't want to order it until I know the catering needs.
Anna I'm seriously great full for any idea. He is the ,oat stunning boy. Happy in the lounge with us. Climbs up on you to get his treats.
Sorry , I justbfeel a little lost. Been on nights and haven't had any sleep yet, hence the mumble about.

So would you be splitting the 6x5 Wendy house in half? Would you be able to split it so they cannot see each other?
What is a binky box? Is it a run?
The alternative would be for Coffee and his new friend to live in the lounge as indoor rabbits full time.

Sorry I'm not making it clear.
The Wendy house would be split in half by a wooden wall so they can't see each other but I guess they still could smell that there are others close by!
It will have two entrances so I can access for cleaning and such tasks.
A runaround binky box is a solid rectangular run of 7x4ft and the smaller ones are around 4ft square. Each system would have pipesx3, mesh tunnels a big and a small binky box. I also want to keep Bubbles old 2tier hutch, chewed so badly that I consider it unsafe for outside, and put it in the porch together with the puppy pen. This could come in handy in the winter, so I can groom and socialise without sitting in the cold or if need it could work as a infirmaryin case one of the buns is sick and I need to keep an close eye on him/her.
The Wendy house is purpose build and I can have alteration done. I asked to have a window meshed and fitted in each door for ventilation and light. It seems more sturdy and solid than any of the sheds I have seen. It will be placed literally next to the house and porch, so I can see them from the lounge the porch or whenever I go to the car or garden. This may deter foxes too.

It does sound big enough. Have you asked your landlord for permission? How long do you think it will take you to get everything sorted as I have other people interested in Blossom now. We do get single females in regularly.

By all means go ahead with anyone showing interest. I just ponder about all the options and seem to get from one to another. Please bear with me. I will let you know what I decide when I get there.
As Vernon alias Coffee is as good as gold with us there is no hurry.
Bubbles is poorly at present as she was chewing on of the fleece blankets without me noticing and is off food and producing the smallest poo I have ever seen.gut stasis? Off to the vet tomorrow but phoned and started syringe feed and fluids.
If blossom can be rehomed go, go for it. She is such a beautiful bun!

I knew this girl wouldn't have to wait long for a new home!
She has gone to live with another rabbit who was adopted from us. Sadly his partner recently passed away, so Blossom is his new girlfriend.
Good luck pretty girl x
