Need to pick your brains...
So a couple of weeks ago now, Oggie discovered how to jump up onto the bed. He then learnt how to jump up during the night time and at 3am, I felt a fluffy, warm thing on my feet (which freaked me out for a couple of seconds!).
The trouble that I'm having is that I'm absolutely paranoid I'm going to hurt him whilst I sleep and because of this, I'm getting alot of broken sleep which I'm struggling with during the daytime.
After I accidentally elbowed him in the side, I decided to put him in his hutch during the night time (photo's of hutch on another thread) which he, understandably, doesn't really like and has started chewing on the lino (none of which he's swallowed.. he just leaves it in mounds) to vent frustration.
So I'm not thinking of other options (which is breaking my heart!).
I instantly thought of moving him (and hopefuly future wife) outside. However I'm unsure of when is the cut off point to transitioning them to living outside? Before it gets too cold?
I also need to think of living arrangements if we do go with this idea.
Secondly, I thought about me moving into the office and having my room as a rabbit room/ office. Unfortunately he can't move into the office as it isn't big enough (small box room).
Apart from that - I have no clue at all!! I'm really struggling with a decision and feeling very guilty at the thought that I might move him outside but I know that I'll still spend however much time out there a day as I much prefer to spend time outside than in weirdly!
If I decided to move him out, I need to get my butt moving and sort out living arrangements... I have a few ideas if this is the case but tired so shall write that in a further post on this thread.
Thanks so much for reading through! I'd be very grateful to hear your opinions.

Re: Need to pick your brains...
First of all don't feel quilts, no reason for it. There will always be a debate of indoor or outdoor, as long as the bunnie(s) are cared for and loved which I get is the case otherwise you wouldn't have such strong feelings.
However if you move him out would you consider to get him a hunbun for companionship? If it is a couple and you can get living quarters securely fitted there is no reason why they couldn't be outdoors buns.
I don't think you gonna hurt or injure him with normal movements. Bunnies are clever.
What kind of space is available?
Hugs from us please don't be upset.

Oops, I wrote about adopting a companion in the original post which I accidentally deleted! I have contacted RSCPA reading branch about adopting a wifey for him. There is no way he'll move out there on his own :-)

Re: Need to pick your brains...
I had Willow as a 'bedroom bunny' for a couple of years and it worked well (until she started marking my bed - enter Mojo and the move to the bunny room!)
She always used to free range at night and jump on the bed, and she was always fine. As has already been said, it's doubtful you'll hurt him as he's likely to move out of harm's way before it gets to that stage. But, understandably if it's something that is stopping you from relaxing when you're trying to sleep you need to do something!
I tried the shutting away thing for a couple of weeks but Willow didn't take to it too well either - free range buns, what are they like?
If you're on the way to getting him a wifey bun then I think both of your ideas sound fine - if you're willing to give up your room a rabbit room works well but they'd be equally happy outside as well. I think shed/playhouse and run/aviary set ups are the best option for housing outdoor buns - especially two. I'm not 100% when the cut-off date for moving them outside is as I have very little experience keeping outdoor buns, but I'd say September/October time maybe? Might be a bit off though so don't quote me...
