RIP Belle (spider warning)

I hate having to write spider warning, she might have been a spider but she was still my pet

Over the last couple of months my beautiful Belle started to slow down, and at some point between last night and this morning she passed away

Belle was one of my first spiders, I got her 15.5yrs ago (summer 1999) as a dull brown sub adult/juvenile of indeterminate age. Around 6 or 7 years ago over one moult her colour changed quite dramatically to black with a metallic blue tinge and bright striped knees. Spiders don't have 'personality' as such like mammals do, but she was a very 'laid back' spider. I don't handle my spiders but she was always easy to deal with, never showing any aggressive or defensiveness, at most she'd slowly move out the way.

Its hard to write a tribute to a spider. But she was my favourite and I am feeling pretty sad

Aww I'm so sorry.

It doesn't matter what she was or how she made other people feel, she was a part of your family - and for such a long time too.

I have a spider called Fluffy who is adored love, so I know exactly how you feel. Nothing is "only a" they all have their place in our hearts. She was a little beauty, love their cute little faces. I hope you are OK. If you want to talk spiddey with anyone love, I am here.
