Oh no Spring, not again.
Had a very traumatic time earlier this morning Had let Gabe and Spring out onto the grass whilst I cleaned out, hung washing out etc before going to work. I left it until the very last minute to get them back into their shed/run and of course Spring was down her hole She has dug so far now that only the tip of her tail is visible but she did back up when I told her it was time to come out!
To my horror a slug had hitched a ride on her bum Major panic as Chris was not at home and I cannot bear the creatures. I then spent 10 minutes or so trying to get Spring into the open run so I could corner her and flick the slug off with a stick. Meanwhile it was burrowing into her fur Eventually I managed it and got the thing off but it had left slime in her fur Oh how I hate them. This is the second time she has collected a slug
Her and Gabe are not going back onto the grass now until the hole is properly filled in. We did have a feeble attempt at filling it with soil which was soon re-excavated so something more substantial is now needed.

Re: Oh no Spring, not again.
You should be a self-refilling rabbit like I have! She digs a hole and then when I come home from work, has filled it in again Very thoughtful of her.
It is horrible when you are confronted with something that you absolutely detest. Glad that you managed to deal with it, but definitely a case for a sit down and glass of red to get over the shock.

It's like slugs are drawn to you because they know you hate them!

Re: Oh no Spring, not again.
It's not just a hole, it's Spring's secret slug breeding facility

Ha ha Sparky! I am sorry you had such a rotten time love, if I had been there I could have helped because I don't mind slugs, I actually love little Snails. As you dislike them so much I want to say well done hunny, you still managed to deal with it and it sounds horrendous for you. You deserve a big hug me thinks.

Thank you for your support - or not Sparky
Chris has now filled the hole in with bricks and rubble. Spring is not very happy but needs must. Nickie, I am very impressed by the idea of a self-filling rabbit

Poor you! It seems that creatures of all sorts seem to know who dislikes them. In my height of arachnophobic phobia all spiders in the area must have known to come to,my house and pester.
Well done you. A brownie star for slug bravery!

Sorry, but
Poor you, and Spring, and the slug! I don't like them either, but can flick one off with a leaf or something.
Good luck filling that hole!!
