Bonding Advice?
Hello!
I recently adopted a new bun and the bond is going really well. They have been together since 5th May and after a little humping and circling on day one have gone on to form a good bond (thus far.)
For the first week I allowed them in either the hutch or run so it was a single space which worked well. Then I allowed them both hutch and run of a daytime (I work from home so can monitor and I close the run at night whilst bonding) which has worked well too.
My plan in the later part of next week is to leave hutch and run open all night again monitoring as I go.
Prior to our new bun we had a bonded pair and I allowed them access to the garden a few times a day (supervised) I juts wondered when is a "safe" time to allow my bonding pair out for a 5/10 min free run around the garden? I was planning to wait until the bond was around 4 weeks but my buck is pining for a run and the new doe is a big bun and I don't think she has ever has a real run.
I would love them to have a stretch but I;m worried to death about doing anything that might negatively effect the bond?
Sorry for the HUGE post!

Re: Bonding Advice?
as long as the bond is going well and has been going well i would let them have a run. You will be there to supervise so can interrupt if they get a bit feisty.

Yeah I would be out with them, perhaps a short run might be OK

Re: Bonding Advice?
I just let them have 5 mins. They seemed apprehensive at first, and stuck together whilst sniffing around.
Within minutes my buck was running around and the new doe was binking around. They seemed to enjoy the leg stretch!

Re: Bonding Advice?
When they have bonded and you see them snuggling up for the first time, there is nothing like it.
