Remembering Lil Loll.

It was a black day when you left me Loll. I shall never forget our last moments together when you turned on the vets table to look at me and put your paws on my chest; something you had never done at the vet's before. I knew what you were saying. You were telling me it was time and that you understood. You were saying, "Goodbye".
You were a very independant boy, strong minded and free spirited, it took a long time for you to look upon me as more than just your comfort-slave, but our last year was special. I will never forget the long winter nights by the fire and you sitting by my foot, holding one of my fingers in your mouth ... that marked the depth of our love more than any cuddles could ever have done.

Yes, a year has gone by.
He did mean a lot to me; just as Henry does. When you live alone and very often go through the week without seeing or speaking to anyone you quickly form very strong bonds with your pets. Loll was very independant, not wanting fuss or cuddles, but he was quite entertaining and good company.
