Henry's on duty. Empty Henry's on duty.

I've recently discovered Henners has a predeliction for creepy crawlies. He's eaten an earwig, murdered a spider, stalked a moth and tonight he finally discovered Baden!
Now Baden is a rather ginormous spider who for the past five years or so has lived under a welsh dresser in my dining room. He's called Baden because every once in a while he sallies forth on a scouting expidition (Baden as in Baden-Powell founder of  the Boy Scouts). Loll used to ignore Baden on his occasional visits, and so do I, but when Henners spotted him late this afternoon he charged with evil intent. Baden is expert at evading capture/pursuit and shot back under the dresser. Henners immeadiatly took up guard duty by the corner of the dresser and hasn't moved since. I brought his Burgess in and set it down in the usual place but he ignored it, and after an hour it was still not touched ... and his evening Burgess is always garnished with a Fenugreek cruncher! So I took the bowl over to him and he tucked in gratefully!
He finished his meal but won't leave his post! He's watching and waiting for Baden.
How long will he stay faithful to this self imposed duty?

Thought to make a funny comment but read your other post and decided not to.

It seems impossible that he could become ill so suddenly. He was doing such a sterling job guarding Baden.

Ha ha, that is brilliant.  Baden sounds a cutie character too, we have a few resident spiddies and they all have names.  It sounds as if it is a game he and Henry have concocted between them LOL!

This is a bit out there... but is there any chance Baden couls have bitten him and he is having a reaction?

I had the same thought last night. Has Henners been spooked somehow?

Pretty sure there was no biting ... on either side.
After watching him all night and tempting him with every bunny food/treat I have in stock I am coming to the conclusion he may be in need of a dental and that the tummy upset (which is clear on his X-ray) is either a part of that or a side affect. He as also developed a stuffy nose (one nostril, I think) and is huffing in an attempt to clear it. Will know more later as he has a vet appointment at 10-45.
