Thundercracker needs an op
So it has became official thundercracker needs an operation in his ears. He will get the right one done first then later down the line he will get the left one done.
He goes for a check up in four weeks then the discussion of getting him booked in.

Re: Thundercracker needs an op
Oh, that's not nice. Poor boy, you must be worried sick. If it helps I can remember back in the late 90's Claire King (now Claire Speight, editor of the RWAF mag, Rabbiting On) had a French lop called Saxon who, amongst a plethora of other ills, had to have surgery on his ears. All went well. So try not to worry too much.

Re: Thundercracker needs an op
Edinburgh is good and im sure I read something about the anaesthetic they use that is less dangerous to rabbits but I would need to double check that to make sure I didnt dream that bit.
He recovers well from washes straight in to his dinner. That also helps me be a little more relaxed.

Re: Thundercracker needs an op
I think he's small... he's not had a beard when I've met him but could be! He's a bit odd with people... but he is so good with the bunnies. Last time he saw T he was on the floor on his knees and elbows smooshing her face telling her how pretty she was.
Got the letter through about the owners night and really want to go, we've been to a few and they are really worth attending.

Re: Thundercracker needs an op
He he they asked what it was for so I told them I had an appointment lol will find out soon next few days.
Kevin the vet phoned today, there no reason why he cant get both ears done at same time, he just usually doesnt do it.
Now i am thinking have a pushed him into doing both at same time need to speak with them again to find out what is best for the wee man. Got an appointment in august another ear flush i sep and then op in oct so the insurance will pay for it.
He's had a wee haircut

Re: Thundercracker needs an op
He is good, had his ear flush took a wee bit for him to get back to normal but he back to being trouble.
Teachin mummy a lesson by chewing everything.
They never said anything about his stomach and his poos are back to a decent look so hopefully that has passed now.

It is such a relief when they recover and chew the things they shouldn't, Those things really don't seem to matter much do they lol?
