Sad day today

Today, I am taking all of Evo's stuff to the local rescue centre. I think it's a good thing, as "his" room still smells of hay every time I go in, and it upsets me. Plus, all the bunnies at the rescue will get some lovely posh hay.

Giving his things to those more needy is a lovely tribute to Evo. I'm sure he would be very happy to know he was helping some other bunnies.

Oh Laura, I can only imagine how difficult this is going to be for you to do. Crying or Very sad

I did it.... it was horrible. Sad

I went to the vets first and dropped off some chocs and a thank you car, I had to throw everything down and leave, I burst into tears as soon as I walked in. Embarassed

I cried when I handed over his stuff at the rescue too - they have 50 bunnies there. Sad

I might have accidentally filled in the form to volunteer too, I hope I hear back.

I bet the people at the vets and the rescue all think I'm well weird now.

Good for you Laura, that was a lovely thing to do. I doubt the vet and the rescue think you're weird, I'm sure they understand exactly how you feel. Evo is I'm sure very proud of you right now Very Happy

I'm sure they didn't think you were weird either. Feeling sad because a much loved friend had died? They would think that was what you should feel like. When Hollie died, my vet sent me a card to say how sorry she was, so they get attached too.

It was very brave of you because it hasn't been long. Hope you get to do some volunteering.
