Moody Doe
Just out of interest has anyone seen any changes in their doe's beaviour lately? I just got the trio in for the night and Scout has taken a bite into my hand as I picked her up (coupled with a good boxing), she isn't the most affectionate rabbit but aggression is pretty out of character for her.
When I picked Fiver up I have also discovered he has a bite on his side, probably about 3-4 days old by the looks of it but it is healing OK. I'm placing my money on Scout being the culprit.
The only real theory I can come up with is the foster bunnies who have moved in next door to them, though I always see to the trio first I am wondering if they can smell Matilda (unspeyed doe) and if this is causing ructions. The previous fosters have been males and I never had any issues.
Any thoughts?

Piper was totally weird the other day, I went it to feed her and she lunged at me and bit me! I had just picked her up the day before from being boarded at the vets for the weekend so I chalked it up to her being mad at me

Thats what Scout did. When I get them in at night they always come to me in the same order and sit on their haunches for me to pick them up. Marley is always first, then Scout, then Fiver.
Scout ran over, sat up and as soon as I went to pick her up boxed me and took a nip. Cunning little moo.

Re: Moody Doe
Smelling an unspayed doe would normally upset the hierarchy of things, we've had that happen occasionally. Also when there's any new bun on the premises or within view, some of our bonded pairs will knock 6 colours of poop out of their partners. We always have to be careful when introducing new buns to their next door neighbours just in case. Likewise if one of the resident buns gets out for a runaround and hops past a bonded pair, always upsets the pair.

These three are usually so laid back about each other, have probably had just a handful of tiff's mostly in the spring.
They cannot see the foster bunnies but the hutches are neighbouring so I reckon, with the wind how it's been, they can smell them. I can't remember the last female foster I had so I reckon it's Matilda not Montague that is causing the problem.
