DSLR Anyone?
On payday (December 15th) I'm upgrading from my Sony A100 starter DSLR so was wondering if anyone wants a Christmas treat for themselves or the budding photographer in their life? It'll come with everything apart from a memory card, it's a year old and in good condition (no scratches/marks but there's a but of stuff in the grip on the lens). I can post it next day super dooper special wotsit when my replacement arrives or it could be picked up on Dec 20th.
I have an idea of a price in my head but I'm open to reasonable offers too

Re: DSLR Anyone?
This may already be gone but if not can you give me a rough idea of how much you want for it? You can PM me if you want! I probably cant afford it but I really want a nice camera & would kick myself if I didnt at least ask how much it was going for!

Re: DSLR Anyone?
oh that's ok! I do need a good camera. Are you into photography? Could you recommend anything for me? I need something just good you know but not too fancy I guess as I am hopeless with technology. I have a digital camera but it drives me nuts because when you push the button to take a pic it takes it but in like 5 seconds and by then the rabbits and young boy have moved and I have missed my picture! So I want something that responds quickly when I tell it to!

To respond that quickly you'll need an SLR, it will enable you to control the shutter speed; there's more than plenty entry-level camera's knocking around, obviously a second hand one will be cheaper than brand new. I'd recommend any of the "big" brands, Canon, Nikon, Minolta/Sony; but if you can try out one or two (e.g. at the Sony Centre you can hold the camera and get a feel for it), and have a look on the internet for reviews and example pictures (Flickr & deviantArt are two good sources) you'll get a feel for what you want/need and what would be nice.
