I would definately recomend them as pets. I couldn't imagine a life without rats in it Unfortunately they don't live very long and they do seem to suffer more than their fair share of ailments And, vets bills can be very expensive. The upside is that although they only live short lives they cram a lot of living into those 2-3 years

Borrow my babies and bring them back when they are all growed up :luv: :luv: :luv: I forgot how quick babies are, and that they get into every little thing they can I love my babies but I can't wait for them to become big squishy lads with their very own personality :luv:

I didn't know you had more babies When did you get them ? I remember you saying something awhile ago about not being able to get ratties in Jersey ?

Someone from the animal shelter called me not long ago and said they had young lads in at this pet shop if I was still looking, so I got two They are lovely little boys and Flip and Wyatt just accepted them straight away :luv: I was looking to go over to England in March to the place I got Flip and Wyatt to rescue more incase the worst happened and one was left alone. But when I found out there were boys in the island I was a bit selfish and didn't really want to chance the wait so went and got them some buddies Just wanted a group of more than two as soon as possible so didn't really think about all the ones in England that need adopting

You can have Saffron .... and her vet bills willingly She and Dexter had lumps removed yesterday, which cost £170 Overnight she opened the wound and had a good chew, so that cost another £50 to repair the damage. She is now stitched, glued and collared. And feeling mightily sorry for herself.

When Zeke had a lump removed I found just wrapping a bandage round him helped stop the chewing His brothers were worse than him though and I had to remove him from the cage for about a week because they kept pulling at his stitches These are lazy boys though!! I understand girls don't sleep all day and have no interest in anything that isn't food

Hope they recover from their operations soon x
