Benji Has a Lump U/D ALL CLEAR!!
Benji has a lump that I can move around under his chin - it's new for today - but it's bigger then a marble I'm phoning the vet in the morning, but I refuse to see anyone but Mike and I have no idea when he will next be in!! I just hope I have enough money for him!!! I love my boy, he's already been through sooooo much, and was just really settling to being a house bunny - it's not fair!!!!!

Under his chin - I have no idea if he is poorly or not - I feel terrible for not knowing, but he has just become a house bunny, and he sleeps ALL the time, which he never did outside, but that was outside, it was wet..... The last day or two his eyes had yellowy white gunk instead of the normal clear stuff too, but it's still there, and I rang the vet, and Mike isn't there until Wednesday But I really don't trust any other, and I can't go anywhere else because Benji gets travel sick He's eating drinking Normally, and poo's are normal, he's running round exploring at the moment, but he'll flop in a few.
Re: Benji Has a Lump U/D ALL CLEAR!!
Oh dear, it could be an abcess in which case he would need antibiotics, isn't there a vet that could at least examine him and know what to do?

Kirsty he needs to see a vet today
If you wait you could end up with an emergencey vet bill over weekend..or an extremely poorly bun
If his eyes are producing puss and he has a lump..could be tooth root infection..and/or an abcess either way he needs a vet
Keep us posted

Re: Benji Has a Lump U/D ALL CLEAR!!
I have no vet I can take him too, last time I he had an abscess we went to the emergency vet and they said he was fine and sent him home, only for me to book him in to see mike my vet who sorted him out - Honestly if I knew of a good vet LESS then 20 min away I'd take him right away, but after that trip to the emergency very (40min) and he was near passed out from travel sickness, I swore I would never take him on a long car trip - now I have 4 vets within 20 mins of my house, 1 I use who has only one decent vet at them, 1 will not do rabbits, the other two have never been very good with small animals, though they will see them, I have no option - I know exactly what peer will say/do if i show up with Benji - he still claims his eye's are *normal* he won't listen when I talk about his eyes anymore - not since the test results came back clear, it's only mike, I can't make him magically appear!! Trust me I would if I could!! I really don't see another option
Re: Benji Has a Lump U/D ALL CLEAR!!
The lump moves around all over under the skin, I'm pretty sure it's not an abscess or anything to do with tooth roots else that will be fixed in one place. I will see if they can get mike on the phone, or if he's over a stafford.....
Re: Benji Has a Lump U/D ALL CLEAR!!
I phoned the vet again, to find out about mike, well they said peer had gone home sick, and that richard was in to cover - Rishard is the next best thing to mike, and is very rabbity - he isn't often in our vets regularly, as he only covers for people, so Benji is now booked in tonight - Heaven sent it was, because there is no way I would ever go to see peer again!!!!

Re: Benji Has a Lump U/D ALL CLEAR!!
It's okay!!!!!
I tell you I was convinced it would turn out to be cancer, or something worse - I know I didn't mention it, but I went there convinced it was going to be long term, and I'd use up all my vet bill savings trying to help him, but still end up losing him
But it was just a ball of fluid - he said it was something to do with the saliva glands, and maybe being blocked or over working due to different things - it was impossible to be sure. He said it would of cleared up on it's own, but he drained it for now, to be sure there was no pus, which there wasn't, he said the sack is still there and it may fill up again, and if it does, then they would operate to fix it but then it would be fixed for good, it all depends if the blockage is still there or gone! Gosh I was so sure it was the begining of the end, which is so unlike me, but I'm so relieved it was just a small thing!!!
