He nearly gave me a heart attack yesterday!! Shocked They were on one sofa under the cushion and I was on the other reading a book and every so often I call boys so they will all stick their heads out, looked up and called and only three heads came out! I searched the entire room, I was about to start crying I honestly had no idea where he could have gone and convinced myself he had somehow gotten into the middle of the sofa or something and I had visions of me having to chop it up or something to get him out Embarassed I put the other three back in their cage and as I was walking out who was sleeping in the corner of the window ledge behind the curtain Rolling Eyes Laughing

And dinner time, it took less than one minute for the bowl to go from this

Whilst I have rescued rats I have never handles them just taken them straight to someone who could foster them and left them to it but the other day whilst I was in the vets my vet got me to hold one, strange feeling, I didn't like the tail because the rat wrapped it around my wrist and their fur was rather bristly, don't think I could own one

They generally aren't as soft as bunnies Laughing Only two of my lads have had bristly fur really Very Happy Finn's fur was very soft, and so is Alfie's the others are like in between Laughing When I visited the rescue in England to get Flip and Wyatt I did hold a girl who did the tail thing, none of my boys ever have though. I can see Orson using his for balance more obviously than the others, I guess because of his head tilt but the rest of mine just drag their tails along behind them Laughing

Lovely ratties Love
One of my big disappointments in the animals stakes is that I'm allergic to rats.my son used to have them and I loved them, but gradually got that I came out in huge red swellings and couldn't breathe whenever I was near them Crying or Very sad
They make super pets and yours are very handsome Becky Very Happy

Thank you hun Love One of my mums friends has been having breathing trouble and reacting badly when she is here and we are pretty sure its the rats because she is fine cuddling up to the cats and bunnies, and she loves seeing them too Shocked Sad When she comes round now I have to move them upstairs and we have the door open for her!
