I Can't Cope Anymore

I took the rabbits into the front room with me today (Chance and Easter). I shut the door and I sat and watched TV for a few hours. Easter has now vanished. She went behind the sofa, which she does alot. Then at her own pace, she comes out. But nothing. I thought after a while when I hadn't heard her I would get her out for a cuddle and I cannot find her anywhere?? How can this happen? How can she do this? I am literally stressed to the max and so frazzled. I do it so she can get some exercise and she does this EVERYTIME? I really can't see where she can be. I have turned the house upside down. This is it, she is gone for good I am sure.

Oh no , have you checked if she could get inside the sofa at all , maybe she's gone in and can't find her way back out

I was going to post the same thing. We once had a hamster that managed to get itself into a locked wardrobe and we had to take the back off the wardrobe to get him out (we had lost the key a few days beforehand).

Hope she turns up soon. Maybe you should rename her Houdini!

Yeah she can just crawl underneath it and then climb onto a little flap of material and hide.

We had a kitten that used to do this too. He was one from the little that my old cat had. Took us about an hour at about 3 in the morning to fiqure out the flippin kitten was crying from inside the bed!! and then another half an hour trying to get him out. We names him "Jones" as in Indiana the explorer.

Its funny to think about now, but it was so not funny at 3 in the morning!

Glad you found her....tell you what I'll swap you for 2 giant babies who wake up at 5am and scrabble and dig under my bed then go and chew the bars of the puppy pen panels and sound like giant hamsters!

We ripped the bottom of our old sofa out when the snake went missing and then had to sew it all back together to stop the rabbits getting inside it! It's incredible the spaces they can fit themselves into when they put their minds to it.
