An introduction to bunnies
Ok, lets start with Flynn. Flynn is about 6yrs and i have had him for over 5 1/2 years. He has never been a healthy bun, when i got him he was riddled with ear mites, he has had a bout of snuffles, bladder stones, he is a dental bun and he has a droopy face from either palsy or a stroke. A couple of weeks ago he developed hind leg paraysis from suspected EC. I am pleased to report he is doing well and is getting back on his feet slowly but surely. He was bonded to my girly Taffy, but they have been seperated due to Flynn's illness. I would not usually seperate a pair, but Taffy and Flynn have always "tolerated" each other as opposed to being in love, and she was stressing him out.
This pic was taken a few weeks before he took ill.
You can see his "droop" in this photo.
Then there is grumpy little Taffy. She is about 3 yrs now. I adopted her from Fife Rabbit Rescue along with her husbun at the time Trio. Sadly Trio was not with us for very long. He was a 3 legged bun and was pretty disabled. He enjoyed a retirement with us. After we lost Trio, Taffy was very down, thats when we bonded her with Flynn. We are undecided about what to do now Taffy is alone again, we are considerring bonding her to one of our other pairs.
Now we have the "unbondable" gorgeous Gracie. She hates other bunnies, but loves her two foot friends. She is soooo friendly and loveable. Gracie is quite deaf despite her big ears. She also suffers with hay fever and gets sore eyes when the pollen count is high.
Next we have Bigwig. He is my 3 legged lion head, but despite his 3 legs, he is not disabled. He is very able bodied. He was thrown from a car and lost his leg. Despite this, he is still very friendly.
And this is Holly (Bigwigs wifebun). Holly is very funny, she is a nervous bunny, but is ruled by her tummy, and will overcome any fear if a treat is on offer. She is prone to sore hocks.
Next we have Giles. He was dumped at Morrisons carpark in a terrible state.
After a few days he looked like this
And now he is a healthy happy bunny
Summer was the next bun to steal my heart. We needed a friend for Giles and when we read about Summer on the Fife RR site we decided to give it a go. She is almost completly blind and has ulcers under her corneas. Despite this she is a very happy girly and loves Giles dearly.
With the exception of Flynn (who was from P@H), Giles who was dumped and given to me and Gracie who i adopted from Jane Dexters rescue all my buns have came from Kareen at Fife rabbit rescue. I also foster for Kareen from time to time.
Sorry for rambling on, but they all have a unique story to tell

Re: An introduction to bunnies
You've got a gorgeous collection of bunnies there my old girl Lexie has 'Bells Palsy' from an inner ear infection which has left her with the so-called droop, though to me the 'droopy' side still looks like the normal one to me, whereas the raised side looks abnormal.
Re: An introduction to bunnies
Thank you . I agree with you Sooz, the non droopy side looks more strange than the droopy one does. It looks somewhat like they are pulling their mouth up
