Bunny Week in Blackpool
It's the RSPCA's bunny week again and we spent a lovely day with the buns on Sunday.
The RSPCA are doing free microchipping, neutering and vet health checks again for any bunnies in the catchment area. If you are in the area please call in to say hello
Neil was totally smitten as they currently have three giants in - I don't know how we came home without one.
There was the Dad, Neo who sat next to Neil for ages enjoying his attention
Then there was the Mum, Pearl who is a real softie and settled instantly for nose rubs
And their daughter, Sandy who was a little more nervous but finalyy settled in the security of the tunnel for nose rubs
I fell for a cute little black bunny called Jamie who sat by my side the whole time enjoying my attention. Sadly he has been there since January as everyone overlooks plain buns in favour of the pretty patterned ones.
There was also Rodger who is currently reserved
Snowball, a little Lionhead who settled in my arms
And finally Domino who managed to chin me at least 4 times a minute while I was in there and was very bold and inquisitive

The little black bun looks stunning, it's so sad that they get overlooked all the time.
I can't wait to start fostering again, lot's of gorgeous bunnies to fuss over.

As our numbers have dropped a little (only 9 buns now) we have offered to start fostering if needed. It's exciting

Hi Theo
Neil has gone all shy or maybe not.
The buns are all gorgeous I hope they all find homes soon. I think the awareness will be a little easier now the RSPCA have actually produced their own bunny leaflet - and its quite good, much more info than the previous attempt. We ended up using RWA leaflets last year as the RSPCA one just didn't cut it. We are still using RWA ones this year as they are excellent and specifically targeted at certain topics but at least the RSPCA one meets the standards.

I know what you mean, he has such a gentle character though, was happy just to sit there for as long as I was available.
