My three new arrivals - awful pictures
I was contacted last week to see if I could help with 3 bunnies that needed urgent help, Pringle, Walnut and Maisie, they had been removed from a house where there were 23 rabbits not neutered and all running loose together , these three are all special needs, they were born disabled and have had breaks in their back legs which have not been treated, none of them can use their knees and they cannot use their back legs, all of them have eye infections, and sores on their feet and legs, when they arrived Maisie stank awful from a urine infection, she has little fur on he underneath and her vulva is so swollen it measure 3 inches long and an inch and a half around, we are still not sure that she is a female as she is too swollen to examine, both Walnut and Maisie have one foot each which is on upside down
Please meet Pringle, Walnut and Maisie

We will of course do the very best we can for these beautiful bunnies and they will stay with us

Aw, those poor little bunnies. I hope you can get them sorted out, so that they live the rest of their lives pain free and happy.

Re: My three new arrivals - awful pictures
Thank you, they are all doing quite well, the smell has gone from Maisie, it was so bad it turned our stomaches, try asking Lynne (Thumpersmum), I thought she was going to be sick as she was going a lovely shade of green
Their legs are such a mess, they are all twisted and broken, but they scoot around on their bums, will get a video later

Re: My three new arrivals - awful pictures
Aww poor little things, how could someone keep them in such poor condition!
Glad they've found you and will get some the TLC they deserve
Will their legs always be like that or can something be done to help?
Emma x

Re: My three new arrivals - awful pictures
I would say Poor Bunnies but they can't be as they have you now to look after them, however I do believe the person to whom they came from should be shot not to have had them treated.
They all look lovely sooo cute keep us updated.

It truly was vile
They are beautiful bunnies tho' despite their problems/handicaps, and I'm glad they are improving. At least they will now get the best possible care, and hopefully have long and happy lives!!

Re: My three new arrivals - awful pictures
Words just fail me. How can anyone not realise that pain and distress these little animals were enduring. Just evil or stupidity or both.
Thank goodness you have them so at least their lives will improve even if their bodies don't.

Poor little things
Do you know how they ended up with the leg breaks? I just don't know how you find the hours in the day to deal with so many disabled and incontinent bunnies, it must be so time consuming keeping them clean and comfy.

Poor babies, they must be in so much pain
How many rabbits do you have? It sounds like lots.
Its amazing how people give up their jobs and social lives to care for disabled rabbits as sooz says it must be such a time consuming job.
The vet bills must be huge too, I hope you have a rich husband

We are not sure how their legs got broken but I think it could have been because they were born in a two storey hutch and if they were upstairs they could have fallen down the ramp?, I suspect that's what happened
