Poppy Empty Poppy

I lost my darling little Poppy yesterday. Too upset to write much but she had her post mortem today by FHB and she had a fur blockage in the stomach which caused her stomach to rupture. The only blessing is that she died with her husbun Dude by her side and passed away lying out with her back legs stretched out in her 'happy' position which is the way I'll always remember her.

I'll treasure the few years I had with her and am so glad I got my last hug with her yesterday morning.

Rest in peace Poppy, we miss you x

ETA: these were taken about 2 weeks ago Crying or Very sad and the second picture is exactly where she died and looks the same Crying or Very sad

Thank you all for your replies. Dude seems better than I expected - I think it's because he got to spend time with her body so understands. When I lost Boo, he was pts and I hadn't taken Angel with me so she was looking for him for the next few days which broke our hearts. I was dreading Dude being the same.
