Rosie

Rosie came into our lives on 4th November 2004. She had been found living in a cemetery in Dundee and was taken in by the Scottish SPCA. We saw her on Rabbit Rehome, went to see her and fell in love with her there and then. She came to live with us as a housebunny and we have had 5 wonderful years together before we had to help her to Rainbow Bridge yesterday. She has had various health problems since the summer and it was with heavy hearts that we decided to set her free.

Rosie was an incredibly loving and friendly bunny who loved nothing more than being fussed over, and she never passed up the chance to have a snuggle with us and have her nose or ears rubbed. She very much belonged to both myself and Rob, my other half, and we will be so lost without her. I was at home most days with her; we were great company for each other and spent a lot of time together. I will miss her presence in the house so much. She was such a good rabbit; she was so laid-back, and she adapted so easily to any environment she was in, even when she lost the sight in her second eye 18 months ago.

You were such a massive part of both our lives and we will never forget you. You were so much loved.

i'm so sorry for your loss. Rosie truly was such a special bun and i'm sure she will be taking all of those wonderful memories you have shared with her to Rainbow Bridge.

I am so sorry that the day has come when I have to reply to this thread. She has always been one of my favourite buns - I know I shouldn't have any as they are all special - but she was just such a lovely personality even though I had never even met her.

Helen I really feel for you and Rob and hope that you feel proud of yourselves for taking such a difficult but kind decision.

Thank you guys. I keep looking over my shoulder to where her cage and run were; the room is so empty without her. Sad

I used to be up and down from the computer often to have a cuddle with her.

Quite a few people have said she was a favourite of theirs, it's so lovely and such a comfort. Thank you. Smile

I can't believe we are having to have this thread. She was a very special lady. I remember when you posted the pic of her with her head set on. She has been around the forums for as long as I can remember. I think you did such an incredibly brave thing Helen and I am thinking of you both. Bless your hearts, I know the pain is unbearable. I loved Rosie, she was the first bun that I connected with over the web, and her story and that care you have given her have always been completely inspirational.

I'm so glad that this lovely girl found her way to you both and that you were able to gain so much happiness from each other.

I'll miss hearing about her and will always remember her.
