Vibes please
Hi Everyone,
I was supposed to take the Hipster for a vet check up yesterday but ended up having to cancel it. He was completely fine last night when I put him to bed around 10:00 pm. This morning when I went in he seemed off. His poops all looked fine and he didn't have any symptoms like a runny nose, but he just didn't seem right. He didn't want to eat his pellets (which is never an issue) and he also wasn't interested in hay. Normally he is pretty active and he always comes out of the cage when I call him, but he was just sitting in the corner. Also, when he is normally relaxing he gets totally flopped out whereas he was just sitting there in the corner... in a very non-Hippo way. I decided to call the vet and they agreed to see him at 1:00. I went out and bought some fresh dandelions (his favourite) and he did eat those, but if he didnt go today I wouldn't be able to take him until tomorrow afternoon.
Can you send him some vibes please? He's seen the vet and she gave him some pain meds and something to get his digestive tract going. She did not think he needed antibiotics. Hopefully he is back to health asap. Poor little man

Oh, he went.... but hopefully he wont need to go back.
He came running down for his breakfast this morning and he devoured it. He also took his meds like a champ! I did hear him sneeze once a few minuets ago, but I am hoping that is just a coincidence.
Bunnies can be so stressful!

Don't I know it
So glad to hear hippo is back to himself!!
As for sneezing I wouldn't worry too much - Ivy has been sneezing loads for the last month - but Mike is adamant he is fine He just likes to make me worry
Re: Vibes please
It is maybe just a reaction to all the excitement of the bonding. It can be stressful and maybe it is all just catching up with him. Gloria has periods when she goes into mild stasis if she is stressed. Usually it just takes a bit of TLC and some meds and she is fine again, but it is horrible when they are ill and you are used to them eating and being happy.
