willow balls
This is probably bunny 101 but I'm going to ask anyway:
A lot of you have talked about willow balls so I know they are safe for bunnies. I haven't been able to find any (Go Canada ) But last night I saw so I bought one to see how they like it. Well like is not the word... Brynn hasn't stopped eating it this morning (is it made of candy? ).
My question is: is it safe for them to actually ingest (and not just a little bit, but the whole thing)...

Re: willow balls
Well, they love it don't they.
I find it way too expensive to have them eat it in one day, better look for some trees where you can take branches

Re: willow balls
Totally safe for them to eat and absolutely brilliant for their teeth too. You can get all sorts of things made out of willow and also just willow sticks for them too.
Re: willow balls

Re: willow balls
Mine had a willow ball and it disappeared in a couple of days! They also adore apple wood and eat huge amounts of it.

Re: willow balls
Willow balls make great toys..
but one little warning..we had two separate occasions where bunnies had the large willow balls, chewed part of them so they opened up a bit, then got stuck in them..legs and head through parts of the toy..so with the larger ones do supervise

Re: willow balls
I bought a whole set of willow tubes lately - The bunnies love them.
I got them 3-4 days ago and Vivi has a teeny spot of it left..
The other buns at least have a tube shaped thing left...

Re: willow balls
Aye you do, but are being too polite.
Willow balls would be handy, cos then you would hear them coming!

Re: willow balls
If we ever have anything nice, I have to do two because Gloria is such a rotter. She leans down, nicks it and runs. Wolfie chases after her. It is hilarious. I was really naughty when my sister was over and put in half an apple so she could see them tussle. It is really comic because the apple it too big for her to hold for long when she is running and she is just looking for somewhere to stop and eat it all without Wolfie and he is there not letting her settle down to eat without him!
