1200 hours: Operation commences

Secure compound whilst hostiles are contained. Logistics went to local equine supplier and located requisite supplies. Sappers moved in under cover of snow. Perimeter was secured quickly and efficiently and hostiles were let loose having been neutralised. Withdrew to kitchen for a cup of tea .....

and a valium cos the wire cost nearly £60!!! Shocked Shocked I am still in shock and keep having flashbacks when they said the price and I handed over my card mutely (uncharacteristically says OH).

Now the dynamic duo have a four foot fence to negotiate (unfortunately so do I and I am 5' 2"! Luckily I can lift my legs up high!) Gloria was out straight away stretching up and I think I could see where she was getting out. The snow bent down the edge of the fence and she used that to ping out ... but not more pinging for her. Mwhahahahahahahahahah cheers cheers

Well done Comrade Nickie and congratulations on a job well done!

Are you in trouble for holding the hostiles in confinement for so long........ I take it there were no rebellious actions,....ie - dirty looks / nose in the air back to owner type things...? I had suspected they might call amnesty international about this treatment??

Fingers crossed that the this new compound will hold said hostiles securely and they will not hatch another plan for escape......

It is quite a nice day today and the snow / ice is vanishing fast. They are back into their usual routine.

Eat breakfast, check where Felix is, eat more breakfast, check for intruders during the night, eat more breakfast, have a sleep .....

Gloria has had a try at all the fences, but is giving up now.

Their burrow has flooded. There is a hole where son jumped over the fence and his foot went through the roof about 3ft in from the entrance. I poked a stick down and the whole burrow is about six inches full of water. So no little bolt hole for them for a while. Hopefully it will dry out when the Spring comes. There must be so much water going into the ground now and our river was a little bit up. However very windy yesterday so that helped a lot.

It's really bizarre seeing grass again. After weeks of whiteness it is a novelty to see green in the back garden.

The 'path' to BJ's shed is now once again a mud slick - I think I preferred the snow Shocked
