Mufassa just wont give up :D
Helloo everyone.
If you read my meetandgreet you will know I am introducing out lion head mufassa and our dutchie Flower. Its going really well and they spend most of there time together, apart from nights and days when were at work. After a few more weeks we will leave them full time together.
My question is...... Is Mufassa going to stay this excited around her? (they have both been neutered) Apart from the occasionall 5 minutes, he wont stop trying to mount her. Flower just tends to run off but i'm worried shel get anoyed with him after a while. Its been 4 days know and he just keeps trying. Will he tire of trying?
Hope you can help and thx!

Re: Mufassa just wont give up :D
My bunny Chewy used to mount Kenzo 24/7 even after they were neutered (and they are both males...) One day he suddenly stoped and hasn't done it for quite a while now, maybe Mufassa will stop, if they have been neutered recently, it may take a while for him to calm down!
Keep an eye on them though, if Flower gets annoyed she might bite or fight Mufassa.

good advice, but I think she is just to relaxed to do that, but you never know.

The picture of them together is beautiful, they are such a gorgeous pair
I wonder if the mounting is carrying on because they are being separated and then effectively re-introduced If the mounting is dominance linked rather than hormone linked, every time they meet Mufassa will be re-asserting his dominance. If you have the time this weekend if you are not working I would give leaving them together 24/7 a go.
As there is no fighting things sound very promising I don't profess to be a bonding expert but with the bondings I have carried out I have not split the bunnies up if the signs are looking good.
Good luck xx

Re: Mufassa just wont give up :D
mufassa has been neutered a good 3 months or more now. Flower is coming up a month.
This was the end of the week where we are going to try leaving them 24/7, so ye, hopefully that will calm him down.

I think flower is starting to get a little paranoid when she hears things behind her. And mufassa is getting grumpy because he cant have his own way he takes it out on me.
