Parsnip or not?
I bought some parsnip today to try with Pippin tonight but I cam across something on the net saying parsnip is toxic to bunnies. I thought it was similar to carrot and some advice online has been that parsnip is fine so just wondered what you think xx
Re: Parsnip or not?
I've never fed it personally, but the medirabbit website says it's OK - I would think it's fine, but fed in small quantities because of the high sugar content.
Not sure if this will link OK - http://www.medirabbit.com/EN/GI_diseases/Food/feeding_en.pdf The bit where it mentions parsnips is on page 6.

Oh just realised I had downloaded this before. Very good reference guide. I just find quite a lot of conflicting advice about the rabbit diet. Thanks for the advice
Re: Parsnip or not?
Mine actually don't like parsnip but I didn't think it was harmful for buns.
