Hello Everyone!!!
Hi everyone, I'm Damien from Sheffield and I joined HH a few days ago.
I currently have one Bun (Penny a Doe Lop 18 months) and am about to adopt Archie.. from Angie at Barnsley Rescue and will hopefully be bonding him with my Penny
I've never attempted to bond before but have a good idea how to go about things..
Any advice (or questions) would be very welcome.
Thanks.

Re: Hello Everyone!!!
Welcome Damien
Bonding will really depend on the personalities of your rabbits. With some rabbits it's relatively easy, with others it will takes weeks. My advice is start in a neutral area - the bathroom for example - and introduce them in slow spurts of time. If they get along then you can start housing them together. Also, don't be afraid of a lot of humping

Re: Hello Everyone!!!
Hi Damien and welcome to the bunny madness How great that you've been able to give Archie a home and Penny a husbun
Good luck with bonding, it may just all go smoothly, so just ask as you go along if you need help. It sounds as if you have looked well into it already

Re: Hello Everyone!!!
Hi Damien,
Welcome to HH. There is lots of information on a variety of bunny-related topics
https://happyhoppers.forumotion.co.uk/rabbit-care-articles-useful-links-f1/
Bonding can be quite scary, but often although it looks a bit fraught it is successful and your buns will live happily together.
Start in a small neutral area so they have to interact. If you use to big an area, they will just sit in the corners and ignore each other. Make sure you wear strong gloves so you can separate them if they get really aggressive. A bit of nipping and chasing is normal, but if they 'lock-on', you need to stop that as they can really hurt each other. Some people use water sprays, but it didn't work when I did my bonding. Often it is a question of the buns deciding who is top bun or indeed, if there is a top bun. It usually involves lots of humping. Both sexes will do it as it is a dominance thing rather than a sex thing.
Hope it goes well for you and look forward to seeing photos.
