do shorthair holland lops shed?
I've had a question via You Tube, on the grooming video: "Do shorthair holland lops shed? im getting one this weekend and was wondering if it sheds alot."
Could someone let me know on here, then I can point them to this thread, thanks

I couldn't say for sure, but tbh I would of thought yes - I only know of one fur type that doesn't shed on a dog, and as far as I know , there isn't a single bunny breed with that type of fur. Malting, is just a natural part of life, and all animails do it in some form or another just like we do it when our skin peels etc - As for a lot, that really is down to the bunny its-self - Fudge has short hair, but he is malting right now, and the is fur everywhere, but Benji is a fluffly bunny and he hardly looses any

holland lops are the same as mini lops I believe? I would have said yes... I don't think there is any hypo-allergenic rabbit breeds out there, so yes they do shed

Josephine is some kind of a lop... i'm not sure which, and she sheds about twice as much as Bruce, who is twice her size. So I wouldn't think they didn't shed.

Yes the do, some of them have very thick coats and moult in clumps as well...that can be worse than other breeds. I don't know of any rabbit that doesn't shed to be honest.

Wolfie is a smooth haired bun and he moults hair as does Felix. All three of them were at the vet today and I looked like a yeti when I can out as they shed all their hair on me, the vet and the table! You wouldn't need to have allergies if you were a vet!
