How long after nuetering...
Do I wait before I introduce my doe [nuetered today] to my buck?

Are you talking about Annabelle and Charlie who have already been together or a different doe and buck?

Re: How long after nuetering...
Well I wanted to get Bramble nuetered but because of his age the vet recomended trying to pair him and Annie up rather than risking him being put under aneasthetic [sp?]
So I had Annie nuetered today, shes still living with Charlie, and wondered when I should try and introduce her to Bramble......I will of course find a friend for Charlie, wouldnt want him to be alone for too long if Annie goes to live with Bramble x

Re: How long after nuetering...
Maybe you could think about getting a different doe for Bramble?? If annie and charlie are bonded it would be ashame to split them

Yah I agree. If Annie and Charlie are happy you wouldn't want to break them up.
Maybe you could find a local shelter that could help you find an already neutered doe that Bramble could bond with?

I wouldn't split a bonded pair, they should be together, maybe you could get another bunny for the single bun

Re: How long after nuetering...
As Bramble isn't neutered you will have no idea how he will react with Annie. She will soon get fed up if he is constantly humping her.
It would be a shame to bond her with Bramble for it then not to work out and then to put her back with Charlie. I know you are worried about Bramble being lonely and wish I had an answer for you and him:( I don't think it is fair on Annie though to potentially mess her about.
Edited to ask if Bramble shows any hormonally driven behaviour such as humping, buzzing and circling? If he seems a laid back kinda guy it may well be that you could find him a placid, elderly doe to put up with him.

Re: How long after nuetering...
Is there any chance Charlie and Annie would accept him as a threesome?
Iv heard of threesomes working, and this way they could have alot of space to live in... I know iv askd this already but still keep wondering...:S
Bramble is a very sweet boy and doesnt show hormonal behaviour that I know of, however I spose this could change if introduced to a female.

Re: How long after nuetering...
None of us can answer the question about the threesome Kate. In theory it shouldn't work, you will only know if it will work if you try.
I would have thought trying to introduce Bramble into an established pair would be a lot more problematic than just trying him with a girl.
As a bit of a bonding wuss I just wouldn't risk it. I know this isn't the answer you are looking for - sorry.

Re: How long after nuetering...
You need two very laid back and neutered males for a 2:1 buck to doe trio to work and even then it is precarious. Especially at this time of year.
Re: How long after nuetering...
I have tried to bond to a threesome and it is very difficult and I haven't managed it. Wolfie and Gloria are bonded. Wolfie is a fiesty little bun who thinks he's a rottweiler and he did NOT take kindly to another guy coming anywhere near him. I'm not saying it won't work, but that it is a difficult thing to do. I think the best thing to do would be as previously suggested and get a neutered doe for him.
