Hmmmm, not noticed it with any that I have had, has mummy got fur mites?, is it something in the hay that is making them itch, have they all got their eyes open now?

Mum doesn't seem to be scratching, yes they all have their eyes open now. Can you see fur mites easily or are they too small to see? x

Oh I bet they are so cute?, are they out of the nest yet?,
The fur mites are far too small to be seen with the naked eye but what you see can only be described as white dandruff on their fur, I have a picture of it somewhere, hang on and I will go and find it, can you believe it photobucket is doing site maintainance and so I can't post the picture, but I will later on this morning so check back
Maybe their scratching is just down to the hay, is it soft for them or is it hard and scratchy?

Re: Baby bunnies with an itch!!!!!
It could also be fleas which are a little easier to see than mites. Sadly there isn't much you can do in the way of treatment whilst they are so young, as most treatments are not suitable for use on animals under 8 weeks or lactating mothers.
Re: Baby bunnies with an itch!!!!!
the poor bunny with the mites that's awful. I can't see anything so hopefully they will be ok. Where do they come from anyway. I have no other pets with them. X

They can come from the hay and other bunnies, but more likely the hay, hopefully they haven't got them and they are just playing
