Random website - Bunny talk
I was doing some reading up on bunny bonding again as its Summer now and I have months of free time so I thought it is surely time to crack on with getting my little monsters paired up (I am going to have a wonderful Summer..).
I came across this - Not sure how accurate some of the info in it is, but it was an interesting read none the less.

I've come across this website too, I liked it and thought it was a fun way to explain how rabbits behave. It made me laugh in parts
Although I did get a bit frustrated with the lack of lop photos - how was I meant to understand Miss Josephine?!

Re: Random website - Bunny talk
It's a great site, one of the first bunnny sites I came across, and it has really helped me understand Bertie's ever changing moods, certainly when he first arrived here, he's a bit mor emellow these days! I have, and I know a few others have, sat in front of their buns nose twitching in harmony
You've hit on quite a significant point there Nic, Lop eared buns obviously are not nature-designed, and because rabbits use their ears so much to communicate, Lops constantly live with a certain amount of stress because they are unable to do so. It would be a similar frustration and stress felt by us if we were unable to speak. Yes, we get around it, but it's not idealNSD wrote:Although I did get a bit frustrated with the lack of lop photos - how was I meant to understand Miss Josephine?!

I re-read this site and it is fabulously written - very humorous but informative too. And the two bunnies are just gorgeous

Wow Jay I never ever thought of lops from that perspective. It's a sobering thought. I tend to really struggle to understand her, which is why Bruce is such a treat, he's so easy to read.
Now I feel really sorry for Josephine because she can't communicate and think i should spoil her rotten with treats

No doubt your Daisy will have his own language which will be completely different.

I suppose that's why I've always thought Freya was just ininterested in anything.. I suppose its hard to tell with her.
Its not so much of a problem with Lani, she sticks one ear up, and that seems to be enough to understand her!
