Hi everyone. I'm going to change the bunnies food over to excel nuggets, they have ss pellets now but its becoming harder to get hold of it as our pet shops don't sell it and I can't always rely on buying online. Anyway I thought excel was the next best brand and I know I can get it easily here. I'm just wondering whether it should be junior or adult? Pippin is 7 months old and the little girls are 5 months. I'm not sure if rabbits are adults at 12 months or 7 months as I've read conflicting things on this. Any advice is appreciated, thanks.

I can only speak from experience and I put my baby bunnies on Excel Junior and Dwarf up to 6 month old and then I start to change them over to Science Selective, I am sure that the packaging for Junior and Dwarf says 6 months, I have a mummy and 4 babies here at the moment, the babies were 6 weeks old when they came in and they were all on **** mix, so I put a dish of SS pellets in for mum and a dish of J & D for the babies and then I found that mum was eating the J & D and the babies were eating the SS Shocked Shocked Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Laughing Laughing Laughing

So what I am trying to say that it's not cast in stone and I am sure you can change them over now, just male sure you do is gradually and watch for and changes in the poo, I am sure they will be fine

Just to throw a spanner in the works, I feed Junior and Dwarf to some of my very old bunnies because it helps them maintain their weight

Good luck

I was thinking to save problems with buying 2 packets (I know Pippin will eat the junior food and vica versa!) I will buy junior for all 3 just for another 2 months until all 3 are adults and then switch to the adult food.

Thanks for the replies ladies Smile
