My two bunsters live in my spare room, and free range when we are in.

bobby the doe will come downstairs and has no probs walking n the laminate Carlo on the other hand is terrified of this surface so tends to stay upstairs.

Well they have chewed up all the underlay that I used to cover my carpet.

Dpes anyone have any suggestions of good bunny safe cheap (and thats the most important thing cheap)

I brought a large kitchen rug for daisy's area.....he can strip a rug in ten mins normally but try as he might he just cant manage to pull the threads out.....and boy does he try. I got it becuase he hates the wooden floors too but he has a proper spring and bounce around on it!

I brought one that was 2m by 1.5 m and it was £30. Worth every penny!

When we had Rosie and used to let her out on wooden floors, we bought cheap cotton rugs at IKEA for a few quid and laid them down when she was out. We had to use non-slip backing on them, but if I remember, we bought this at IKEA too and cut it to size for each rug, then just rolled them out when needed, and rolled them back up again when she was back in her pen/run.

It's important Shelly, as laminate can be a contributing factor to spine & hip probs like arthritis, as it makes their legs splay. we've discussed this a while back on here, and it seems that some buns don't mind it and others can't walk on it. Rugs etc as suggested are great Smile

Yeah i had never given it much thought as Bobby has always got on okay, it wasn't untill I got Carlo and saw how terrified he was of the floor Embarassed

I am thinking of getting some runners through the hallways and some rugs in the livingroom when buns are freeranging.

I have also now put a rug next to the bottom step as Bobby loves rushing up and down the stairs,
