Hmmmmm, scrap that question I posted earlier about adding an unneutered buck to my trio

His owner had 3 boys ...all brothers ..and getting on fine until a couple of weeks ago when she noticed this little fella being picked on from time to time .
she rang me for advice and i advised neuter asap and perhaps take out the one being picked on .

she rang again sunday morning to say she had put the buns in the run and was in the process of splitting the hutch so she could house this one seperatly when all hell broke loose ..and this is the result .
the other two had injuries as well but not as bad

she now has 2 single boys and this one is with us

they are 20 weeks old

See pet shops do not tell you anything about neutering (assuming that is maybe where she got them?!) When I got my bun I only knew about it from doing my own research...
They just try and sell the rabbits in same sex pairs and then to hell what happens once they go to their new home!

update on this little fella ...

things got worse ..he got a huge abcess as a result of the worst bite ..

we have been battling it for a week with abx , metacam and regular flushing and cleaning .. poor little mite is thoroughly fed of being pushed and poked and sqeezed

I do think yesterday we may have tirned a corner though ...there was definatly less puss ...so hopefully he will soon be on the mend .

Aww his little mouth ...it really can't be nice being poked and prodded so much ...If only they could know it is for their own good...glad to hear he's turned a corner. xx
