Hello
Hello
I joined a while ago but I don't think I've introduced myself yet. I am Alicia and I'm hopefully getting some rabbits in a few months

Re: Hello
Hi there Alicia, welcome to HH. This is an excellent forum for information about buns. There are lots of threads giving basic advice that would be helpful to know before your buns arrive.
Remember to ask any questions and post some photos of your furries.

Re: Hello
Helloooo (from another newbie too)
How fab that you are looking into rabbit care and ownership before you've got a bun!! I wish i did!! It's been a loooong learning curve.
Have you decided on what bun you'll get? Rescue, pet shop, specific breed? If you go for a rescue, they can help and advise and if one comes in you like, you can reserve it too until your set up is complete. They'll help advise every step of the way and often it's even cheaper as the bun is vaccinated and neutered already. Plus you could even get two together in an already bonded pair
Whatever you decide is right for you, there's plenty of help here and everyone is lovely.
Sorry for asking too many things - i just think it's great you are doing your research!
Take care xxx

Re: Hello
I'm not quite sure yet I'm thinking of getting a rescue pair, but I'd quite like small rabbits, and I particularly like netherland dwarfs, I've looked after some and they are lovely rabbits and a good size I think. I've been asking for a rabbit for a year so I'm so excited that my Mum finally agreed to let me have some
Re: Hello
That is great news. Nethies are a good choice, size-wise, but they are very clever so don't underestimate them!!

Re: Hello
A bonded rescue pair is a brilliant idea, often already neutered and vaccinated. Bonding can be tricky so its soooo much easier. Some rescues advertise on here - you could always put a thread up saying what you are looking for if thats what you decide to do.
I have to agree with Nickie - Nethies are gorgeous, beautiful and exceptionally clever little monkeys, who will try and outwit you at every turn
(spoken as someone outwitted daily by a naughty nethie)......but will give you so much too. Daisy makes me laugh every day and I love him to pieces!
