My Mum has changed her mind again. Fortunately I can still get rabbits but she'd rather we got a rescue pair, which would already be bonded and spayed/neutered and vaccinated. I understand and it would be easier to get an already bonded pair rather than get 2 singles and put them together but I feel really bad because Merlin's owner's been telling me all about him for a couple of weeks now and I feel like a timewaster Sad Also, Merlin sounded really great. I'm excited because I've found a rescue that thinks the way I plan to exercise the rabbits would be ok and I now have lots of pairs to choose from but I just feel really bad about it too Sad I wish my Mum had told me this a couple of weeks ago Laughing

How nice though that you will be taking two bunnies out of a rescue. On the bright side, you wont have the expense of neutering and vaccinations and you know they are bonded, so don't have the worry of them not getting on and fighting and maybe injuring one another.
I hope Merlin's owner will understand. x

Aww, sorry your Mum has changed her mind but sounds like she could be thinking what's best in the long term for you and the bun's. At least this way you can guarantee they will get on instead of the possibility of single one's not bonding. Also if they are already neutered and vaccinated you'll have more money to pamper them with Smile
I'm sure Merlin's owner will understand, you certainly aren't taking any of this lightly and only thinking what's best for you and your future rabbit!

Aw honey - what mixed news.

Its brilliant that you are getting a rescue pair, but you must be upset about merlin.

I'm sure his owner will understand though honey x

His owner was very nice about it and I think she might be keeping him now anyway, she didn't sound like she wanted to part with him from her emails Smile I've just emailed a rescue to hopefully go and visit this weekend Very Happy

Great that you did not have any problem with Merlin's owner. I hope you find a lovely couple at the rescue. Good Luck x
