Re: how can I bond 2 males
they wont bond until both have been neutered. After that it is possible to bond two males together, although it will depend on their personalities and will have to be done very very slowly.
i will let someone with bonding experience give you more info.

Re: how can I bond 2 males
some advice i got off another site, not as good as this one though
You will need to have them both neutered first. Then wait about 6 weeks for the hormones to settle down
Get a couple of small teddies... Put one in with each of them. They will chew on them, but its normal...
After they have had the teddies for a week, swap them over. So they get used to each others smell around.
When you are ready to bond. Make sure its neutral territory (somewhere neither of them has ever been)
A small ish area is fine. Have to hand a squirting water bottle, to give them a quick squirt if they are chasing each other or trying to hump.
Wipe them over with a grooming wipe before introducing them so they smell the same. If the bonding is going well (they arent chasing or nipping) then leave them together. Just keep watch of them. You can introduce them to a bigger area once they are settled with one another
If they arent getting on too well... Get a biggish pet carrier. Put them both in and go for a car ride. They dont like it in the car and will probably end up snuggling upto each other as cars are stressful to them

Re: how can I bond 2 males
You will definately need to have them both neutered and give them time ffor their hormones to settle afterwards or else you risk them inflicting serious injury on one another.
Below is a link to an HH video on bonding. It is very informative and may help you .

Re: how can I bond 2 males
I attepmted this with two neutered males. Neutral territory, slow introductions. Seemed to be getting along fine then one day Vince attacked the other male and I had to take him to the vets. They seemed to be getting on so well, Vince was grooming him, but just turned. I'm not sure I'd want to try it again!
Does anyone know if bonding an adult male to a baby male has the same risks?

Re: how can I bond 2 males
I have read somewhere (possibly in the bonding bunnies booklet) that it is never ideal to attempt to bond an unfamiliar adult and a baby no matter what the sexes. I have been wondering whether that Bruce and Flo bond was difficult at first (Bruce was having a good sniff Flo paniced Bruce nipped and Flo ended up with a skin tear all down the inside of her back leg. I got a £300 bill The vet said I was lucky that it did not get infected). It took mine 6 very tense months and then suddenly they both appeared to have learnt some manners and that was that!

Re: how can I bond 2 males
ive had some probs with rose and star, star is roses mam but is in the nursary with poopy till they are big enough for the garden, but once when I was cleaning the nursary out star scarpered across the patio there was no where she could escape so I just left her out as rose was there but rose nipped her I was shocked as its her mam. I recon I might have a bit trouble when it comes to lettin them out, rose done get on with anyone but Roman but was a bit shocked to see her reaction to star
