Weight watchers for bunnies
Took the buns for their myxi jabs and Ron who has half of what Lil eats has put alot of weight on.
He is not grossly over weight but I don't know what to do, he eats hay and grass like there's no tomorrow and only has about 5 pellets and the smallest pieces of veg. He is always running round and binkying.
He must be raiding the cupboards when were out.
Its so unfair when Lilly eats double and she's so thin.
But there's nothing I can cut out.
Is anyone elses bunny podgy with just eating hay and grass?

Re: Weight watchers for bunnies
Maybe cut out the pellets entirely, and have one day a week where he doesn't get any greens. I have the same problem with my Bruce - to get them to lose weight you really need to feed them nothing but hay.
I understand where you're coming from - Josephine hates hay, her diet is much more greens and treats focused than Bruce, and she lost weight last vet visit!

Re: Weight watchers for bunnies
Cheers folks. We will be going to weight watchers soon so fingers crossed, poor little love only has to look at a blade of grass and his tummy expands.
I think he has lost a bit of weight on the 'see food' diet.
