Rocky and Billy aren't going to live together, Billy attacked Rocky when I thought they were bonded and Rocky has little cuts on his side Sad but my real question is Lucy now keeps eating the hair around the cuts and is taking the scabs with it?! Is this normal? Or is she being nasty? It doesn't seem to hurt him he doesn't run away!? Any advice appreciated!! Why do I have freak Bunnies Rolling Eyes

Awwwwww I dont think Lucy is being nasty. Quite often an abrasion or scab will attract 'over-grooming' from the injured Bun's partner.
Try to discourage the behaviour as much as possible using distraction tactics eg treat filled toys. The overgrooming does slow the healing process and obviously if it actually makes the wound worse then temporary seperation may be necessary. Thus far I have not had to resort to that with any of my Buns.

I wonder if there is anything you could put on the wounds to make them less appealing, something that wont interfer with healing but dosn't taste too good?

I have a herbal remedy I got from vet UK for minor cuts and abrasions. Corthvet I think its called. But I think that has been dis-encouraging her! I thought I had a real vampire Bunny. There's me looking at them with love one night and she looks up with a scab in her mouth, norty Lucy!! Poor Rocky! He does have the hard time!
