Yoda wont eat...

Yoda refuses to eat. I can see somethings wrong. The vet I called told med to give him critical care and see if he poops within the hour.. if not, I have to go there. it's so expensive in the weekends, I have no idea how to pay for it.. but I'll find a way I guess...

Oh no, come on yoda, do some poops please. And then please eat of your own accord!

Has this happened before?

It has.. he almost died last time.. the vet had him for 2 nights.. I dont know the name in english, but his belly was filled with gas and stuff.. he didnt poo back then..
But his belly feels fine, not hard.. I gave him some more critical care.. I have a feeling it's his teeth.. the big problem is that I'm broke.. and just an examination kosts about 200 pounds because it's weekend and evening/night... I dont even dare to imagine what it will cost to fix the teeth......

Could you ask your vet about a payment plan perhaps? Maybe pay them a little each week until it's pain off? I would hope no decent vet would see an animal suffer because money is a an issue.

When Bruce's teeth went over the weekend they gave him Metacam and critical care which got him through till monday when they could burr them.

He's eating alittle now.. O.O
Maybe the treatment with the "something-I-dont-know-the-name-for"-oil and critical care worked.. maybe it was very very early in the fase of.. eh.. when things stop..?

The general condition is bloat and gut stasis.

If he is eating thats a really good start.

I would keep up with the critical care - and also syringe him some luke warm water too. Try to get him moving around - this will help to get his guts moving.

how is he doing now? Any sign of any poo. how is his eating?

He's been eating alfalfa hay and some of the normal hay.. I gave him abit more CC.. I've seen 3 round poos.. Now he's back in the pen with his buddy.. He seems better.. They've both been out in the livingroom.. I'm gonna clean the entire pen now..

Aww I'm so chuffed you may have caught it early or he may have been just a little off, but it's always best to try and catch it ASAP.

Yeah, I'm happy it went this way.
Today they're sleeping next to each other, or should I say almost on top, and both ate the morning-papayatablet.

Might be worth popping him into the vets when you can just to get his little teeth checked out.
