Carpet sweepers Empty Carpet sweepers

Does anyone know if carpet sweepers are any good at picking up hay and straw?

I'm thinking it would be far more convenient than dragging out the dyson every time!

(to clarify, I am still going to Hoover, just not every 5 mins Laughing)

They are only marginally better than a dust pan and brush on carpets and rugs and don't clean up hay that's "eaten" into the pile!

Better on laminate/wood/vynlay.

I've got an old Bissell cassette 8000R carpet sweeper which has done 3 house moves with me and I wouldn't be without it, it sweeps up the bunny poops ok and some of the shorter strands of hay and it's ideal for a quick sweep when I don't feel like getting the hoover out at like 11:00 at night.

Must say I like the sound of the mini Dyson may have to have a look at that Smile

It is a bit pricey but we have found it a godsend. Plus Daisy likes to box it!
